Swimming is Our Way of Life

Founded in 1976, Cleethorpes and District Swimming Club is the longest running club within the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area.

Over the many years Cleethorpes and District Swimming Club have trained many great swimmers, including many medallists at each level. The aim of the club is to continue to help all swimmers achieve their ultimate potential, regardless of whether that is to be able to compete at regional/national level or for other reasons such as improved fitness or as a pastime.

CADS is a friendly and supportive club with the aim of providing a positive swimming experience for everyone, at all levels within the sport. The club aims to provide the right training from the learn to swim stage all the way through to National level swimmers. We have a highly-qualified coaching and teaching team, with experience in developing swimmers at all levels. We aim to help everyone reach their full potential whatever their starting point.

Swim Teachers

Our swim teachers start with children from the age of 5 and develop their confidence in the pool. Our learners are taught to have the skills needed; from staying safe in the water, all the way up to their introduction into the world of competitive swimming.

Coaches

Our coaches follow on from the skills learned in their swimming lessons and develop the swimmers to compete at events from local galas to national championships. Or if they prefer, train for their own fitness.

Volunteer Support Team

Our club could not exist without the team that works behind the scenes. All of our helpers volunteer their time and skills to make the club succeed. The jobs that need doing include organising legalities, managing members, arranging events, raising funds and much more.
